Every day more companies are downsizing, moving overseas and outsourcing positions to be cost-effective. Many see this as a very negative thing, another gloomy sign that the world is in a recession. And indeed it can be exceptionally troublesome for those that lose their jobs, their financial security, and the ability to provide for their families. However, there is another side to all this—a bright side. A new opportunity has emerged from this bleak situation, an extremely profitable one, and it is quickly becoming the wave of the future. Behold the era of the homeworker.
"Company Downsizing is creating an onset of work-from-home job opportunities"
- Business Weekly Magazine
Many businesses and corporations all over the world are now turning to work-from-home job resource companies to provide them with workers, as another way to cut costs. They are discovering it is far more economical for them to outsource certain jobs that can be performed from home than to continue the traditional route. And this is a growing trend in small businesses too. This year 1.2 million workers will work from home more than 35 hours a week as the result of a formal arrangement with their firm. That is an increase of more than 30% from a year ago! This won’t be just another passing fad. It is the dawning of a new age.
Because this is such a fast growing market, we will see more and more work-from-home job resource companies springing up onto the scene, connecting workers to companies with open positions. These positions are not what most would consider traditional. Most require no prior experience or special job skills. Anyone with a computer and an internet connection can tap into this gold mine and become a homeworker. Many of the positions can be performed quite easily, in about an hour a day. And unlike a regular 9-5 job, there are no deadlines, no stressful commutes, no punching a time clock, no dealing with an overbearing boss or annoying coworkers, and no putting in long days only to make someone else rich. As well, the level of income earned is directly proportionate to how much time and effort is contributed. Indeed, it is even possible to change one’s income bracket with this new style of employment.
Some of the positions companies are now looking to outsource to homeworkers are:
• Transcription,
• pc technical support ,
• resume preparer,
• clerical and data entry,
• translation/interpreting,
• medical billing,
• customer service,
• writing and editing, and
• online tutoring, to name a few. The possibility of working fewer hours, even making more money, and all from the comfort of one’s own home will no doubt see many more of us transitioning over to take advantage of this exciting opportunity. It’s a win-win for everyone!
